Drug Reports for Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont

Each of our partnering states releases reports that compile data on their individual opioid and overdose crises. For information on each state’s individual reports, see below.

Maine

Maine’s report is released annually by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. The 2015 Substance Abuse Trends in Maine – State Epidemiological Profile can be found here, and with previous reports on the DHHS website.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire’s report is released monthly by the New Hampshire Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services (BDAS) Drug Monitoring Initiative. Monthly reports can be found on the BDAS website.

Vermont

Vermont’s report is released in multiple formats and can be found on the Vermont Department of Health website. A presentation report is assembled in October, which can be found here.

 

NH releases Drug Monitoring Initiative report for September 2016

The New Hampshire Drug Monitoring Initiative (DMI) has released its September 2016 Drug Environment Report. This report is cumulative of both past year data as well as annual measures that go back as far as 2010.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)-sponsored DMI is “a holistic strategy to provide awareness and combat drug distribution and misuse.” The DMI collects and reports on drug data from sources in New Hampshire such as public health, law enforcement, emergency medical services, Safe Station, and state emergency departments to name a few.

The September DMI report is available to view below, and is also available on the DHHS website. Previous monthly DMI reports can also be found on the DHHS website.

Node awarded Phase 2 of New Hampshire Fentanyl HotSpot Study

In partnership with the National Drug Early Warning System (NDEWS), the Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) has been awarded funds to complete the second phase of the Fentanyl Hot Spot Study conducted in New Hampshire earlier this summer.
