Node welcomed NIDA Director, Congresswoman, Senator to discuss tackling NH’s opioid epidemic with science

On Tuesday, May 30, 2017, the Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network, together with the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH) at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, welcomed the Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Dr. Nora Volkow, and New Hampshire State Representative Ann McLane Kuster (D-NH2) to discuss New Hampshire’s Opioid Crisis.

Dr. Alan Budney attends the College on Problems of Drug Dependence Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill

On March 28, 2017, Northeast Node Core Investigator Dr. Alan Budney attended the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill and met with 28 Congressional offices to advocate for funding for drug abuse research.

Northeast Node co-sponsors Koop symposium on behavioral health stigma

The Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network co-sponsored the Dartmouth College 10th annual C. Everett Koop Symposium on Addiction Medicine, Thursday, December 8, 2016. This year’s symposium, “Reducing Behavioral Health Stigma in Healthcare Systems and Communities,” featured speakers from various settings that encounter behavioral health stigma in their daily activities.
