Tess Gallant, BA
Research Coordinator, Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network, Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Tess is a member of the research team at the Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) and the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH). She graduated with a BA in Psychology with Honors and a double minor in Neuroscience and Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross. During her senior year, Tess completed independent thesis work entitled “Schizophrenia Through the Lens of Homelessness and Social Policy.” Prior to this, Tess assisted with research that examined the impact that race and culture maintain on parent-child relationships.
At the Northeast Node, Tess is a member of the Lead Team of a Phase 1 project that seeks to leverage a promising model of pharmacist-integrated care for OUD to 1) employ a mixed methods approach to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of implementing a pharmacist-integrated model of MOUD into the clinical workflow of a diverse array of clinical sites and 2) evaluate the impact of the pharmacist-integrated model on the clinical sites’ capacity for MOUD care and on patient engagement in OUD care (NIDA CTN-0116). At the Center, Tess is involved in research initiatives that include a pilot project that seeks to develop a patient-centered opioid safety prototype educational tool, and the delivery of mental health and substance use disorder learning collaboratives to Vermont care teams.
In her free time, Tess enjoys golfing, attending farmer’s markets, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
