Elise Patchett, BA

Research Assistant, Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network, Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth

Elise is from Woodbury, Minnesota and recently graduated from St. Olaf College with a BA in Psychology. She intends to pursue a career in psychiatry, and is thrilled to be starting a new adventure at CTBH. Elise worked previously as a mental health practitioner, providing independent living skills (ILS) services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and is passionate about connecting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. While she has many areas of interest, her research over the past few years has been focused on behavioral neuroscience in animal models, specifically relating to addiction, learning, and memory. Elise is also involved in a research project on the neurobiology of trauma and alcohol use in adolescents, which is being used to create Title IX training materials on college campuses. In her free time, Elise enjoys traveling, gardening, pilates, and spending time “up north” on the lake with her family in Minnesota.
