Avery graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Oregon with a BS in Psychology and a BS in Political Science in 2020. During her undergraduate studies, she served as the Student Director of Substance Abuse Prevention Education and worked as a research assistant in an EEG lab. She gained valuable research experience as a summer research intern with the National Institute on Drug Abuse which allowed her to explore her interests in maternal addiction, women’s health and fetal development. She is excited to join the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health and continue learning about effective methods of substance abuse prevention. In her free time, she enjoys taking fitness classes, playing board games with her family and spending time with friends.
