Many children who lose a parent encounter public systems such as child welfare, mental health, and juvenile probation, both before and after the death of their parent(s). As the opioid crisis persists in western Pennsylvania and throughout the country, this webinar will consider specific issues affecting the children left behind.

Co-presenters Dr. Eric Hulsey and Cindy Grindel work in the behavioral health field in Allegheny County, PA. Dr. Hulsey is Manager of Behavioral Health Analytics at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Data Analysis, Research and Evaluation. Ms. Grindel is a licensed social worker with a graduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and 25 years of experience in providing counseling, crisis intervention and critical incident response.
