Evaluation of Vermont’s Hub and Spoke Opioid Addiction Treatment System, by Richard Rawson, Ph.D

Dr. Rawson oversees clinical trials on pharmacological and psychosocial addiction treatments. He has led addiction research and training projects for the United Nations, World Health Organization, and the U.S. State department. Dr. Rawson recently completed an evaluation of the Vermont Hub and Spoke system of opioid addiction and is now leading an effort in California to export this model to expand the opioid treatment capacity. He is also continuing his work with the World Health Organization to help develop treatment for substance use disorders in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
