
Dual and Polytobacco Product Use in the Context of Tobacco Research and Regulation

Lauren Pacek, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a core faculty member at the Rutgers Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies. An epidemiologist trained at Johns Hopkins and Duke, she previously served as faculty at Duke and as an epidemiologist for the FDA Center for Tobacco Products. Her NIH-funded research focuses on tobacco regulatory science and smoking cessation interventions, particularly for people living with HIV and those with co-occurring mental health disorders. With 101 peer-reviewed publications, her work is dedicated to informing public health policy and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.
