Presenter Biography

Dr. Kranzler’s research focuses on the genetics and pharmacological treatment of substance dependence, with a particular emphasis on precision addiction medicine. His research has been continuously supported since 1987 by grants from the National Institutes of Health. He has authored or co-authored more than 500 journal articles, book chapters, and books, is a member of the editorial board of five peer-review journals, and is the Editor of Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research. His work currently focuses on the molecular genetics of substance dependence and the personalized treatment of alcohol, opioid, and nicotine use disorders using a pharmacogenetics approach.
